Compare nine options for Australia: Mountain Buggy nano for low carry weight, Stokke YOYO³ 6+ for a shallow fold, Joolz Aer² for its weight-and-fold balance, Bugaboo Butterfly 2 or UPPAbaby Minu V3 for storage, CYBEX Libelle for its small fold, Nuna TRVL lx for everyday trips, Silver Cross Jet 5 for pull-along travel, and Baby Jogger City Tour 2 for a shallow fold with a carry bag. These are published-specification comparisons, not hands-on test winners.

Choose for the trip you actually take
For airport transfers, lifting a folded pram into a car and storing it in accommodation can matter as much as the flight itself. Write down the tightest space you need to fit, then test the fold and lift before buying.
Australia is our first market. This shortlist includes nine models; the wider catalogue also contains US references including Ergobaby Metro 3 and Zoe Traveler. It does not represent every pram sold in Australia.
YOYO, Mountain Buggy or UPPAbaby?
Searching for a BABYZEN YOYO travel pram may lead to older YOYO² listings. Our current profile is Stokke YOYO³ with its 6+ seat. Compare the exact generation and complete bundle; a frame alone is not the setup shown in our weight comparison.
Mountain Buggy nano (2020+) and nano urban are different products. Our nano profile uses the Australian specification table. Its lower carry weight comes with a wider folded shape than the other models here.
For an UPPAbaby travel pram, our reference is Minu V3, not Minu V2 or the double Minu Duo. The Australian page gives conflicting folded widths of 45 and 46 cm; confirm a tight boot or luggage fit with the seller.
Three more ways to narrow the choice
CYBEX Libelle has a smaller folded volume than the other models here. Compare all three sides against your space, and check the exact version: the Australian distributor uses both 5.9 and 6 kg figures, while its table and the brand page give 6 kg.
Nuna TRVL lx offers a one-hand fold but a larger folded footprint. Its quoted 7.4 kg excludes the armbar and rain cover, so add those back mentally when planning what you will carry.
Silver Cross Jet 5 can be pulled along once folded. That may suit airport transfers, but its longest folded side is 60 cm; cabin approval still needs confirmation from your airline.
Buy the Australian configuration
Check the seller’s Australian model name, manual, included accessories and service arrangements. An overseas product page can describe a different recline or newborn setup. The Aer² comparison uses UK reference measurements; confirm the Australian configuration with the seller.
For Butterfly 2, avoid mixing original-model specifications with the newer Butterfly 2 Plus. We link to the manufacturer’s Australian collection so you can see current colour availability and pricing.
- Compare the total in AUD, including delivery and the accessories you need.
- Ask where a warranty claim or repair would be handled.
- Check the return conditions before a home boot-fit test.
Before an Australian departure
Check the operating airline for every leg, including a codeshare or domestic connection. Ask whether the pram can be taken to the gate, where it will be returned, and whether it counts towards cabin baggage.
A compact-fold label is not permission to bring a pram into the cabin. Use the size checker as a measurement aid, then confirm the rule for your booking.
A few common questions
Is the lightest pram always the best choice?
No. Compare carry comfort, folded shape, storage and your child’s suitability as well as weight.
